BEHEMOTH To Headline Three 'Summer Slaughter' Shows

Polish extreme metallers BEHEMOTH have been confirmed as "special guest headliners" for three shows on the 2009 edition of the Summer Slaughter Tour:

July 05 - Edmonton, AB @ Starlite Room
July 06 - Calgary, AB @ The Whiskey
July 07 - Spokane, WA @ Knitting Factory

Presented by Affliction and Decibel magazine, this year's Summer Slaughter lineup consists of NECROPHAGIST, SUFFOCATION, ENSIFERUM, DARKEST HOUR, WINDS OF PLAGUE, DYING FETUS, BORN OF OSIRIS, ORIGIN, BENEATH THE MASSACRE, AFTER THE BURIAL, DECREPIT BIRTH and BLACKGUARD.

The tour kicks off this Friday June 5 in Baltimore, Maryland.

BEHEMOTH will release its ninth full-length studio album, "Evangelion", on August 7 in Europe via Nuclear Blast Records and August 11 in North America through Metal Blade. The CD was mixed at Miloco Studios in London, England by Colin Richardson, who has previously worked with MACHINE HEAD, SLIPKNOT, NAPALM DEATH and BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE, among many others.

BEHEMOTH has been confirmed for the second annual Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival, set to take place this summer. The band will perform on the Hot Topic stage alongside CANNIBAL CORPSE, THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER, JOB FOR A COWBOY and WHITECHAPEL on over 25 dates.
